IT Skilled Student or Freelancer - Part-Time Project Position

Are you a student or freelancer with good instincts and a fast learner or do you already have good experience, when it comes to working with IT in data analytics projects? 

Rooftop Analytics is a three-year old start-up company with a high degree of entrepreneurship.

We see ourselves as Business Data Scientists, as we utilize our capabilities within machine learning, statistics, and economics, and involve domain experts from the field of the assignment. All competences required in order to solve complicated business decision problems applying data analytics.

Your Opportunity

You will be joining a highly motivational team, who are among the best within business data science. You will be working with the Rooftop team and front-end developer in performing the IT technical tasks, specifically in regard to data integration. The focus is to develop the best way to secure an interactive data exchange between the front-end application WordPress and the backend, where Python is our application. We work on a Google Cloud hosting platform. This opportunity is directly related to a project, where we develop a data intelligent law assistant. To accomplish the solution, you will be working with the front-end developer, the data scientist.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for a person, who knows or is eager to learn and invest time in how to find the best IT solution supporting our data analytics solution. We expect that you are an organized and responsible individual, who are able to deliver according to a time plan. As teamwork is key, you will have good collaboration and communication skills.

It's a prerequisite that you have the following competences

• Knowledge of API’s.
• Flair for programming.
• Some experiences working on cloud applications.
• Some experience working with SQL, databases.

It's an advantage if you have the following competences

• Knowledge of Python.
• Knowledge of WordPress and Flask.

What You Need to Know

You will feel the culture of entrepreneurship, when you join. We continuously expand our knowledge and skills within business data science, as we are very persistent in being good at the newest algorithms, techniques, and models. We put time aside to improve.

The project position is estimated to app. 80 hours. In average we expect 1-2 days work a week depending of the project phase. If you are a student, we respect time for finals. We will compensate based on hourly rate matching your competences. You will be reporting to the project manager.

The workplace is a mix between working from home, in Copenhagen with our partners or in our main office in Odense, Denmark.
